These days, everyone wants to sell you a quick-fix solution without diving into actual solutions for achieving success and happiness. The truth is, that the definition of success and happiness looks different to all of us, and you need an approach that can be personalized.
This post shares the 3 key steps to achieving success and happiness.
I’ll admit, even I get skeptical of new-age ideology. I feel like it’s a slippery slope to neoliberalism but at the end of the day, there is truth in personal development work. If anything diving into self-development, manifestation, and mindset work has allowed me to enjoy life and my process and path to success. Cynicism and skepticism are shrinking emotions that don’t serve anyone I’d much rather feel the expansion, even if it makes me a little dululu.
3 key steps to achieving success and happiness
1. Work on Your Mindset
To achieve success and happiness, you have to get your mindset right. First, what does success and happiness look like to you? what are the metrics you use to define success? Once you have that in place you can take an audit of your life and see what’s not lining up. Chances are whatever areas feel muddy are where your limiting beliefs live.
Maybe one of your success metrics is having a stable and healthy romantic relationship. However, when you take an audit of your life you see that dating is an area that feels sticky. For whatever reason, you keep attracting partners that aren’t emotionally available and you blow off dates with anyone who might have real potential. This is a clue that you might have a limiting belief around relationships that is holding you back. Where in your life have you witnessed or experienced a failed relationship? Is there a pattern that you’re emulating? is there a belief that’s been instilled in you from your family or society? journal on what comes u for you around your limiting beliefs.
A great way to work through limiting beliefs is to find evidence against it. Let’s say you uncovered that your limiting beliefs around relationships are “good relationships don’t work out so it’s safer to be with someone who isn’t emotionally invested, that way the break up hurts less”. What evidence can you find in your life to prove this is a false statement? I’m sure there are plenty of people in your life who emulate a healthy relationship, and your breakups probably weren’t pain-free. Finding evidence to prove the belief is false will help remove the narrative from your subconscious.
Affirmations are also a great way to treat your negative thoughts and limiting beliefs. You can check out our blog post “100 Powerful Manifestation Affirmations for Success”.
2. Create an Aligned Action Plan
Don’t get stuck in the learning and growth phase! With a strong mindset, you’re ready to start taking action, but not just any action. The key to happiness and success is to take aligned action. Aligned action is when you’re making decisions in alignment with your higher self (we’re getting woo-woo, I know). Your higher self can also be viewed as your intuition, it’s the part of you that’s connected and in flow with the universe.
The truth is, that most of us know exactly what we need to do to succeed. Rather than relying on external direction, try listening to your intuition. With your goals in mind, you can map out an action plan and form daily habits that will help you get there. Continue to listen to your intuition as you move through your action plan, and feel free to make edits if something no longer feels in alignment. You can get in touch with your higher self through journaling, meditation, or whatever other practice helps to ground you.

3. Start a Gratitude Practice
Gratitude is going to supercharge your manifestations and help draw them in faster. Many people assume that gratitude means they’re settling, and are afraid to appreciate what they currently have. In reality, gratitude tells the universe that you’re grateful and ready to receive more. Have you ever given someone a birthday present and they didn’t seem all that excited when they opened it? I’m sure you stopped buying them thoughtful gifts or any gift at all. That’s how the universe feels when you don’t show your appreciation for what you have. Gratitude is currency!

Success is a state of mind. With the right mindset, a clear vision and a grateful heart your success and happiness are inevitable.
