Practicing gratitude in the morning will set the tone for the day ahead, allowing for ease and joy. Here are three simple practices to show how to practice gratitude every morning.
1. Practice Mindfulness / Meditation
Mindfulness is the art of slowing down and being in the present moment and is inherently a gratitude practice. A simple mindfulness practice is to be still and take in your surroundings. What do you see, smell, and hear? are you able to practice being still in the moment without judgment? Mindfulness allows us to take in the beauty within and around us and feel deeper gratitude for life. 2. Write in a Gratitude Journal
Journaling first thing in the morning clears space in your mind and helps define an intention for the day. After you’ve cleared through all the noise you can write in your gratitude journal. A gratitude journal is where you write out what you’re grateful for and share your thoughts about it.
