You’re tired of running on the hamster wheel, and you’re looking for ways to achieve your goals faster without compromising your well-being… don’t worry, we got you!
This post is all about 3 Ways to Achieve Your Goals Faster
We’ve all got our own arbitrary timelines, and “achieving our goals faster” looks different for all of us. I know that for me, especially as a woman, there is a lot of pressure to achieve specific goals like marriage and home buying by a certain age.
You don’t want to be impatient with your goals, or stressed about timelines. Bringing a sense of urgency or trying to force the goals to happen will only push them further away. This post will share tips on how to achieve your goals faster with ease, and not with manic energy.
Comparison
First things first! It’s so important that you are going after a goal for YOU and not because you’re trying to compete with other people. It’s so easy to get trapped in the comparison game, especially when you feel like everyone else is achieving their goals faster than you are.
As we’ve all heard before, “comparison is the thief of joy”, and joy is one of the key elements of manifestation.
3 Ways to Achieve Your Goals Faster
1. Identity work
One of the most effective ways to achieve a goal faster is by shifting your identity. Let’s say you’re trying to cut down or quit drinking, if you identify as sober or a “non-drinker” you will act very differently than someone who drinks.
Instead of saying “I’m not drinking tonight” when you’re offered a drink you can say “I don’t drink”. This sends a very different signal to your brain and will build confidence and self-trust as you follow through. Most of us will make changes on a surface level, for example, if you want to start running you might buy new shoes, when really you should be working on your identity. It’s not enough to have running shoes or leggings, you have to first IDENTIFY as a runner.

2. Shift from “I Want” to “I Already Have”.
You’re not someone who WANTS to achieve the goal, you are someone whose goals are inevitable. When we want something we are automatically putting ourselves into the energy of lack. If you want something it’s because you don’t already have it, and that makes a huge difference energetically.
When it comes to manifestation you want to embody the energy of “it’s already mine” because the action you take from that place will be very different. When you can shift your energy from “I want” and truly believe that the goal is already yours, you will achieve it much faster.
3. Practice gratitude
I would be remiss not to mention gratitude! (on a blog all about gratitude). Gratitude might just be the most powerful tool I’ve learned about on my growth journey. Gratitude is quite literally the currency of the universe and will amplify your manifestations.
My favorite analogy is about a birthday party. Imagine it was your best friend’s birthday party and you spent MONTHS searching for the perfect gift, you felt like it was super thoughtful and you wrapped it in her favorite color of wrapping paper. You handed her this gift expecting her to rip it open with excitement, but instead, she barely shows any emotion at all and doesn’t even say thank you.
Would you ever want to buy her a present again? This is exactly how the universe feels when you don’t express gratitude for the things in your life. If you want to receive more, you need to practice gratitude for what you already have.
S.M.A.R.T Goals
Before we can achieve our goals we have to first define and understand what our goals even are. We’ve all learned about S.M.A.R.T goals in school, but while studying NLP (neurolinguistic programming) I what S.M.A.R.T goals were through the lens of NLP.
S = Specific and Simple. Your subconscious mind (our primal brain that creates 95% of our reality)requires clear directions. If you overcomplicate a goal your brain won’t understand what you’re trying to achieve.
M = Measurable and Meaningful. Your goal needs to appear attractive to the subconscious mind, and it needs to understand what evidence it should be looking for to know that you’ve achieved it.
A = As in now, All areas of life, Achievable. Your brain has to believe that the goal is achievable, are there other people who’ve achieved the goal? is there evidence you can search for to prove it’s possible? “As in now” refers to “it’s already mine” and embodying the energy of my goals are inevitable.
R = Realistic & Responsible. Your goal has to fall within your own definition of what’s realistic for you and responsible refers to you having full autonomy (or responsibility) over achieving the goal.
T = Timed & Towards. Time refers to the time period in which you achieve the goal and towards referring to putting your attention toward what you actually want).
